Jil Meier, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Researcher, UMC Utrecht background: mathematics I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Dutch Connectome Lab since May 2017. Before starting at DCL, I pursued my PhD at Delft University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Piet Van Mieghem (Network Architectures and Services Group) and Prof. C.J. Stam from the VUmc Amsterdam, where I researched the relationship between structure and function in brain networks. Here at DCL, I am focusing on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients and the analysis of their structural and functional brain networks. We analyze MRI data from ALS patients and healthy controls to better understand the spreading patterns of this disease.
