Kirsten Arntz, BSc MSc student, Complex Traits Genetics, CNCR, VU Amsterdam, The Netherlands Background: Mathematics and neuroscience E-mail: k.j.arntz@student.vu.nl Hi, my name is Kirsten and I am a master intern in the Dutch Connectome Lab. I have obtained my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and I am currently a second-year student in the research master Neurosciences at the VU Amsterdam. During my first research internship, I have studied multilayer brain networks using generalised hypergeometric ensembles of random graphs to determine which layers contribute the most information to the overall brain network. During my internship at the Dutch Connectome Lab, I will explore topological motifs in functional brain networks to investigate which motifs are most important in the brain.
