background: Occupational Therapy, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
My name is Laura Guerrero. I obtained my first bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2010, and I started working in direct attention with geriatric patients. I remained intrigued by the biological background of the diseases I treated, so I started my second studies. In 2018 I earned my BSc degree in Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona. Afterwards, I achieved my MSc in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at the Open University of Catalonia. In my master's thesis, I developed a prediction tool to assess depression from socioeconomic and epigenetic features.
I started my PhD in the Dutch Connectome Lab at the beginning of 2023. In my PhD, I will unravel the commonalities and differences in human cross-disorder connectivity.
